There are some great shows in Saskatoon this February – check them out!
DAN MANGAN
Vancouver’s Dan Mangan is a singer-songwriter with the ability to transform even large venues into what feels like a backyard bonfire with good friends, or a warmly lit café watching a gifted performer play just for you. He’s won two Junos and has many more in his future, and is playing at The Broadway Theater on February 7 in support of his new album “More or Less.” It’s going to be something special.
PAUL BRANDT
In the months before his smash hit “My Heart Has a History” broke sales records in 1996, Paul Brandt was an RN working in the geriatric ward and Canadians country singers had a hard time breaking into the American charts. That all changed with the release of that song, and ever since Paul Brandt has been releasing platinum albums that are hits in both Canada and the States. On February 7 you can catch in on his The Journey tour at the Sasktel Centre.
THE TREWS
These small-town rockers from Antigonish Nova Scotia are a true Canadian classic! Alternating between soulful ballads and pulse-pounding barroom rock, The Trews are one of Canada’s greatest touring groups, to be mentioned in the same breath as legends like The Tragically Hip and Sloan. On February 8 they’ll be playing the Coors Event Centre for what is sure to be one of the highest energy events of the year! Don’t miss out!
THE ARKELLS
Also playing on the 8th are The Arkells! They’ll be playing the Sasktel Centre with special guest Lord Huron. The Arkells play upbeat indie pop that’s fun, infectious and bound to get you dancing! They’re touring in support of their new album, Rally Cry, which is already a smash hit – catch a great band at what might very well be their peak!
