Winterruption Returns to Saskatoon to Make Your Winter Great!

This year, Winterruption Saskatoon is proud to present over 20 shows and performances in 8 iconic indoor venues. Catch comedian Ali Hassan and beloved CBC Radio host Steve Patterson on January 22nd for an unforgettable double bill at the Broadway Theatre. You can also see exciting concerts by artists like Coleman Hell, Begonia, WEAVES, and many more, at venues including the Broadway Theatre, Amigos Cantina, Louis’ and others. If you’re a fan of theatre, be sure not to miss “Every Brilliant Thing” at The Refinery from January 23rd to 25th. One of the wonderful things about Winterruption is that in addition to catching some great shows and discovering new artists, it’s also a great way to explore Saskatoon and our awesome cultural venues.

If you’re willing to brave the elements, make sure to check out Winterruption Outdoor on Friday, January 24th and Saturday, January 25th. Come out to Broadway Avenue and directly behind the Ecole Victoria School, you will find the “Storytelling Tipi”, which features Indigenous and New Canadian storytellers spinning fascinating tales in a unique and intimate setting. Storytelling sessions will be up to 5 to 20 minutes long. As the Storytelling Tipi only holds 18 people at a time, you’ll be up close and personal with your storyteller! There will also be complimentary hot beverages, sleigh rides, a communal bonfire, and other fun and entertaining activities. Admission to Winterruption Outdoor is free!

Once the show is over, you’ll only need to be out in the cold for a brief moment before returning to your warm and supremely comfortable room at Home Inn Saskatoon South.
