NEW YEAR’S EVE WITH ROSIE AND THE RIVETERS
Check out Saskatchewan’s iconic Broadway Theatre this New Year’s Eve for a “sparkling and glamorous” concert. You’ll get to groove to Rosie and the Riveters and Saskatchewan-based musician Megan Nash as they perform live while you sip on a specialty cocktail from Black Fox Farm & Distillery. The event goes from 7 pm until 11 pm — so you can be curled up in bed or relaxing with friends when the clock strikes or you can make it to another party elsewhere before midnight if you prefer a big countdown! Tickets to the event are $60 and are expected to sell out.
Can’t make it down to Louisiana for New Year’s? No worries about that! Jazz lovers will find a wonderful spectacle of blues and jazz right here in Saskatoon at The Bassment. The event will feature the piano rhythms of Dr. Don and the Black Mambas, Cajun and the zydeco blues courtesy of Zyde-GoGo and sweet street beats by the Crawdaddios. Tickets for the show are $80 and you'll also be served a delicious New Orleans meal featuring classic corn chowder, gumbo, southern cornbread, bourbon pecan pie tarts, and more! Plus you’ll get party favours, midnight champagne, and of course, there's a jazzy dance floor to groove on. This event is open to all ages!
If you prefer to sit back and be entertained this New Year’s Eve, make your way to the German Cultural Centre on December 31st. You’re in for a night of hilarious stand-up comedy that will have you ending 2019 full of laughter. And if you’re ready to keep the party going after the show, there will be a live DJ and dancing. Your $45 ticket includes access to the show, food, and a champagne midnight toast. The event goes from 7 pm to 2 am and is restricted to those 19 and over.
