JUNO FEST
The Junos aren’t just some stuffy award show where everyone shows up in a tux or an evening gown – it’s a week-long event where all the nominees arrive in town and proceed to show everyone WHY they deserve to win Canadian music’s top honour!
The week leading up to the Juno Award ceremony is called Juno Fest, and it’s an absolute blast. Here’s a taste of the musical artists who will be performing this year:
Del Barber: Del Barber is the very definition of a Canadian troubadour. A prairie boy hailing from Winnipeg, Barber is a gifted storyteller, both in word and song. In fact, the tales he tells between songs might be even better than his songs… and his songs are great!
Jim Cuddy: As one of the principal songwriters of Blue Rodeo, Jim Cuddy entered the Canadian songbook years ago. Far from resting on his laurels, he has continued to craft classic after classic.
Whitehorse: Husband and wife duo Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland have been rocking Canadian Audiences for years, but when they play together it’s pure magic. Be sure to see their rollicking take on blues-rock when they’re at Juno Fest!
Striker: Canada isn’t exactly synonymous with “heavy metal,” but you wouldn't know that any time Striker takes to the stage! These Edmonton thrashers play intoxicatingly loud music that will make you band your head!
Saskatoon couldn’t be more excited to host the Junos, and Home Inn & Suites Saskatoon South couldn’t be more excited to host you while you’re at the Junos! Book a room today and enjoy our indoor heated pool, waterslide, and hot tub!
