SASKATCHEWAN ART GALLERY DAY
The Government of Saskatchewan has officially declared June 12, 2021 as Saskatchewan Art Gallery Day. What exactly does this mean, you might be wondering? For one day only, commercial galleries across the province will come together, open their doors to the public, and host art gallery walks.
Participating galleries in Saskatoon include Collector’s Choice Art Gallery, Dervilia Art + Design, Saskatchewan Craft Council, Black Spruce Gallery, And Art Gallery, Hand Wave Gallery, and Lake Manitou Gallery, to name a few.
DOWNTOWN FARMERS’ MARKET
Saskatoon’s downtown Farmers’ Market is back all summer long. Located at River Landing on Spadina Crescent East, this popular market is on every Saturday between now and Thanksgiving. Operating hours are 9:00am until 2:00 pm and the market is home to over 40 vendors. You can expect to find everything from fresh produce and homemade baked goods to food trucks and crafts.
SASKATOON SCAVENGER HUNT: RIVER PERCEPTIONS
Saskatoon Scavenger Hunt: River Perception is a COVID-friendly outdoor event happening in Saskatoon this summer. The event will have you following the South Saskatchewan River, where you’ll pass by all kinds of beautiful art as you make your way downtown. You’ll be required to snap pics, race against the clock, and put your navigation skills to the test. This scavenger hunt is suitable for all ages. Tickets are available online and you’ll need to download the Let’s Roam scavenger hunt app to participate.
If you plan on visiting Saskatoon this summer, then we recommend any of the activities above! And if you need a place to stay during your visit, we’d love to host you at the Home Inn & Suites Saskatoon South.
